Postdoctoral Position in Quantum Information Theory – University of Valencia
We invite applications for a postdoctoral position at the University of Valencia and IFIC (UVEG-CSIC). The successful candidate will join the research group of Manuel Gessner in quantum information theory and quantum metrology, as part of the Quantum Technology Group at IFIC.
Our research explores various aspects of quantum information science, including quantum metrology, quantum correlations, quantum technology, quantum optics, and imaging. The selected candidate will primarily contribute to research on identifying quantum limits for superresolution imaging, with the flexibility to work on other topics in quantum information science.
Position Details
Contract duration: Two years (approximately mid-2025 to 2027).
Early start option: A transitional postdoctoral contract can be arranged before the official starting date.
Candidate Profile
Applicants must hold a PhD in a relevant field, such as quantum information theory, quantum many-body physics, quantum optics, or related areas. Prior experience in quantum metrology or superresolution imaging is not required but will be evaluated positively.
Application Requirements
Interested candidates should submit the following documents:
A cover letter expressing their interest in the position.
A Curriculum Vitae.
Contact details of at least two potential referees.
Application Deadline
Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until the position is filled, with a final deadline of March 30, 2025.
