What we do
The development of new physics based hardware technologies is often a challenging task bottle-necked by the speed of iterating between different generations of design prototypes. We are gathering the brightest minds to solve this! Join us on our journey to become the world’s leading scientific machine learning company, building software that provides data driven control, calibration and characterisation tools for a broad range of physics-based R&D applications. We work remotely, and meet physically once a month for planning, brainstorming and shared meals.
Specifically for our magnetic resonance product, we are building an integrated software stack to model the devices, design the pulse sequences for high contrast imaging under RF control bandwidth and magnetic field constraints, and then to calibrate the devices in a closed-loop optimization. Our unique differentiable digital twin can also use advanced Machine Learning algorithms to update the model to account for discrepancies between the experiment and the model-predicted behavior.
Why we need you
As we build the tools to help scientists better calibrate & characterise their hardware, we need a team of scientists that both understand the pains of MRI scientists in the lab trying to design new pulse sequences and the advantage that software & automation services can bring to this process. We are developing powerful numerical simulation and inverse modelling tools and it is crucial that you feel comfortable in speaking (and translating between) the languages spoken by theoreticians, experimental scientists and engineers.
Your profile
Strong background in magnetic resonance technologies such as MRI / NMR / EPR (PhD or MSc with equivalent experience) is required
Experience in numerical modelling of magnetic resonance processes and / or optimization of NMR / MRI pulse sequences is required
Experience in working with experimental systems or collaborating closely with experimental research groups is preferred
You must enjoy scientific programming and building software systems, and be willing to learn necessary tools and techniques for developing industry grade software
You must already reside or be willing to relocate near EU time-zones (CET±1)
What we need for your application
Your CV is a good start. But, what we’d really like to see is that you have a proven track record of projects and work in the relevant field. So if you can send us a link to your GitHub, recent projects or real-world examples of what you have done so far, that is what really interests us. Before a possible interview, please think about the following:
- What is something you accomplished which you are really proud of?
- What technological developments are you excited about?
- What are the things that you have taught yourself?
- What is something you would like to learn or improve in the near future?
