As an DevOps Manager (Azure), you will
- Lead an international team of DevOps engineers to develop cutting-edge Cloud solutions for our internal users and top-tier external clients.
- Manage technical projects from initiation to completion, defining the project scope, objectives, and deliverables. To achieve this, you will:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
- Identify and manage project risks, develop contingency plans to address unforeseen obstacles, and maintain project momentum.
- Lead and motivate a diverse team of professionals, providing guidance and direction to ensure project goals are met efficiently and effectively, fostering a collaborative and results-driven team environment.
- Monitor project performance and take proactive measures to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Develop documentation, monitor and report project status, assess the effectiveness and accuracy of documentation.
- Foster clear and transparent communication channels with stakeholders, team members, and senior management to provide updates on project status, milestones, and potential challenges.
- Collaborate and communicate with other project managers and leaders to coordinate cross-project initiatives and activities.
- Demonstrates an understanding of users' needs and effectively participates in the development and implementation of business solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Data Science, Operations Research, or related field. Alternatively, a Bachelor of Science plus Master in Business Administration is acceptable.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, DevOps, data science, IT and/or other relevant engineering domains
- 5+ years of successful Project Management experience in leading and managing devops/platform teams in a technology-driven company
- 5+ years of proven experience as DevOps and/or Software Engineering Manager
- Expert understanding and knowledge of DevOps & SRE practices and Agile methodologies.
- Solid experience deploying SaaS solutions in multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP)
- Competent experience in deploying, monitoring and maintaining Kubernetes clusters as well as experience deploying applications to Kubernetes using Helm charts
- Experience in large-scale, secure, and high availability solutions in the AWS Cloud, using automation to support deployment, scaling, monitoring, and management (i.e. Terraform, etc.)
- Familiarity with the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines (i.e. GitLab CI, ArgoCD, etc.)
- Database experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQL (e.g. DynamoDB, MongoDB, etc.)
- Competent knowledge of Python, Docker and Git
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams effectively.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, coupled with a keen eye for detail
- Exceptional communication with a perfect command of English.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Data Science, Operations Research, or related field.
- Experience designing and deploying Infrastructure to support machine learning and data analytics solutions.
- Experience in data engineering infrastructure, data warehousing, cross-region replication
- Project Management certifications, e.g. PMP
- Cloud Certifications in AWS, Azure, GCP
- Kubernetes Certifications, e.g. CKA, CKAD, CKS
- Any other relevant technical certifications
