*** MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN CANADA***
A leading national quantum programme is hiring a Quantum Security Partnership Manager to support industry, government, and research partners as they prepare for quantum-era security challenges. This role sits at the intersection of post-quantum cryptography (PQC), quantum-secure communications, and real-world system migration.
You’ll work directly with companies, help guide PQC adoption, translate complex topics for non-experts, and contribute to accelerating quantum-safe deployment across critical sectors.
What You’ll Work On
- Guiding organisations through PQC migration, crypto-agility planning, and secure-comms integration
- Supporting applied R&D projects with industry and academic partners
- Translating PQC, QKD, and quantum-threat concepts for executives, policymakers, and technical teams
- Designing prototypes, proofs-of-concept, and security evaluations
- Delivering outreach programmes on quantum-secure communications
- Helping advance national capability in quantum-safe technologies
What You’ll Need
Essential:
- PhD in physics, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a closely related field
- Strong research background in post-quantum cryptography, quantum-secure communication, or related cryptography topics
- Deep understanding of PQC standards (e.g., Kyber, Dilithium), classical crypto systems, and quantum-threat models
- Ability to explain highly technical concepts clearly to non-experts
- Experience working across multidisciplinary or industry-facing projects
- Strong project-management skills and comfort in a fast-moving environment
Desirable:
- Experience integrating PQC into real systems (libraries, protocols, certificates)
- Exposure to PKI, TLS, certificate management, or applied cybersecurity
- Experience with QKD, secure network architectures, or quantum networking
- Prior work with industry, government, or cross-functional R&D teams
Who Will Succeed Here
You’re an emerging technical specialist who can move between deep cryptographic detail and high-level communication. You enjoy helping organisations solve real-world problems, not just writing papers. You can own projects end-to-end, manage multiple stakeholders, and translate complexity into clear, actionable guidance.
Why This Role Matters
Quantum-secure communications is becoming a national priority. This role directly supports organisations preparing for the coming shift — shaping how businesses, critical infrastructure, and government respond to the accelerating PQC transition.
