Overview
The FSU Quantum Initiative is seeking a highly motivated Support Coordinator to facilitate and advance cutting-edge research in quantum science and engineering. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to pioneering projects in quantum computing, spectroscopy, and sensor development.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate FSU Quantum activities by helping to conduct faculty searches,
- Advertise and administer postdoctoral and graduate student fellowships,
- Develop disciplinary educational certificates,
- Plan and organize programmatic seminars and symposia,
- Plan travel and process reimbursement for guests,
- Monitor funding opportunities,
- Write short promotional messages and articles,
- Interface with FSU Quantum partners, and regularly update information on the website.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Adobe Acrobat and other administrative programs.
- Willingness to learn to use new applications to optimize efficiency and program operations.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to all details associated with projects.
- Ability to file documentation and maintain email communications with partners
- Ability to track commitments and deadlines as relevant to various activities of the Initiative.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 per hour
