We are looking for a Technical Chief of Staff to the CTO and Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) to join the Office of the CTO & CSO and support the execution of Quandela’s technical and scientific strategy.
Working at the core of the company’s technical leadership, you will help structure priorities, coordinate strategic initiatives across research, product and engineering teams, and ensure alignment between long-term scientific objectives and operational execution.
This role is designed as a force multiplier for the CTO and CSO, enabling them to focus on scientific and technical leadership while ensuring that key initiatives, internal coordination and decision processes run smoothly.
As part of the Office of the CTO & CSO, the role provides direct exposure to the executive leadership team (COMEX) and involvement in shaping some of the company’s most strategic technical and scientific decisions.
The position operates at the intersection of research, engineering and product development, helping maintain clarity, alignment and execution discipline as the organization scales.
Impact in the First 12 Months
In this role, you will play a key part in strengthening the execution and coordination of Quandela’s technical and scientific strategy. During your first year, you are expected to:
Build alignment across research, product and engineering
- Develop a strong understanding of Quandela’s scientific and technical roadmap.
- Improve coordination mechanisms between research teams, product leadership and engineering.
Bring structure and visibility to key technical initiatives
- Implement clear tracking and governance for major technical and scientific programs.
- Ensure leadership has visibility on milestones, dependencies and risks.
Strengthen the Office of the CTO & CSO
- Contribute to structuring the operating model of the Office of the CTO & CSO, including leadership rhythms and technical reviews.
- Support preparation and follow-up of key leadership discussions and decision processes.
Accelerate cross-team execution
- Help resolve cross-team challenges impacting critical technical initiatives.
- Improve communication flows and coordination between research, product and engineering teams.
Support the scaling of the technical organization
- Assist the CTO/CPO and CSO in structuring processes and initiatives that allow the organization to scale while maintaining scientific and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Support to Technical Leadership
- Support the CTO/CPO and CSO in structuring and driving Quandela’s technical and scientific priorities.
- Prepare strategic materials, technical briefings and leadership reviews.
- Help synthesize complex technical topics to facilitate decision-making at the leadership level.
Office of the CTO & CSO Operations
- Contribute to the functioning of the Office of the CTO & CSO by structuring leadership processes and coordination mechanisms.
- Support preparation and follow-up of technical leadership meetings, reviews and strategic discussions.
- Help maintain alignment across research, engineering and product leadership.
Program Governance & Coordination
- Track progress on key technical and scientific initiatives across the organization.
- Ensure visibility on milestones, dependencies and risks.
- Facilitate coordination between teams and support resolution of cross-team blockers.
Organizational Effectiveness (P1)
- Improve internal processes supporting technical and research operations.
- Structure communication flows between research teams and product and engineering teams
- Ensure structuration of the teams
- Help maintain alignment between scientific exploration and product development priorities.
Strategic Projects
- Lead or coordinate high-impact cross-functional initiatives on behalf of the CTO/CPO and CSO.
- Provide analytical and operational support on complex organizational or technical topics.

Profile
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in roles such as:
- Chief of Staff
- Technical Program Manager
- Strategy / operations in deeptech organizations
- Technology consulting
Experience working in research-driven environments, advanced technology companies, or deeptech startups is strongly preferred.
Education
- Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in engineering, physics, computer science or a related technical field is required.
- A dual background combining engineering/science and business, management or project management (e.g. engineering degree plus business school, MBA, or equivalent training) is a strong plus.
