In this role, you will:Explore various approaches to deposit and integrate thin-film piezoelectric materials such as PZT and aluminum nitride with low-loss silicon nitride waveguides.Realize stress-based light modulation with very low energy consumption.Exploit linear electro-optic (Pockels) effect to demonstrate high speed electro-optical modulation.Realize second-order nonlinear processes on a chip, with low-loss and high-quality resonators, and demonstrate advantageous in various applications.Interact with specialists from UT and TNO and contribute to roadmap development related to photonic integration.Participate with expertise and take responsibility in ongoing collaborative projects with international and local customers.
