This is a Mitacs internship program and as a DevOps Engineer Intern, you will
- Help deploy our software stack to Fortune 500 clients’ servers.
- Participate in the design of Multiverse’s toolbox interface.
- Assist in automating software deployment and delivery processes.
- Collaborate with developers and DevOps engineers to build and improve CI/CD pipelines.
- Support the maintenance and scaling of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure).
- Contribute to monitoring and troubleshooting development and production environments.
- Learn and support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to innovation in tooling and automation.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Academic or project experience in DevOps, system administration, or backend development.
- Familiarity with Linux-based systems and scripting (Bash, Python, etc.).
- Basic understanding of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, etc.).
- Interest in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Eagerness to learn containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Passion for clean code, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Familiarity with GitOps practices (e.g., ArgoCD).
- Exposure to SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Interest in quantum computing or advanced computing environments.
