- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing optical systems for scientific or industrial applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong foundation in opto-mechanical design, including GD&T, metrology, and manufacturing processes.
- Familiar with FEA and simulation tools.
- Skilled in system error budgeting and troubleshooting complex issues.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with peers, present findings, and contribute to technical reports.
- Experience in laser beam shaping or microscopy is a strong plus.
Our benefits
- Competitive salary with equity participation.
- 30 days of paid vacation plus public holidays.
- Company-sponsored Wellpass membership.
- Annual learning and development budget.
- Regular off-sites and team events.
Who we are
Founded in 2022 as a spin-off of TU Munich, QD leverages quantum sensors to rapidly capture three-dimensional current maps within multi-layer chips. Our 30-strong team of physicists, engineers, and data scientists works side by side with major semiconductor manufacturers, helping them in chip debugging and accelerating their yield analysis. Backed by top-tier deep tech investors, semiconductor experts, and strategic public programs, we have ensured long-term stability, shifting from breakthrough to scale - and shaping the next chapter in chip testing.
