Come join QuTech and create the Quantum Future!
Job description
We are looking for a passionate candidate to join the Veldhorst group as a Postdoctoral Researcher. The Veldhorst group is a pioneer in quantum computing and simulation in germanium. They have demonstrated the first single hole qubit, enabled two qubit logic in germanium, executed quantum algorithms on a four qubit quantum processor, realized baseband control of single spins, and demonstrated entanglement between remote spin qubit registers using spin shuttling.
As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will explore new opportunities in semiconductor quantum technology and work to push the boundaries of quantum control in semiconductor qubits.
The Veldhorst group is a dynamic team working on timely and cutting edge topics. Near term projects include developing novel semiconductor qubits with superior performance, scaling semiconductor qubit systems, and investigating multi quantum well structures for higher dimensional quantum systems.
The Veldhorst group is diverse and international, bringing together people from different backgrounds and cultures in an inspiring and collaborative environment dedicated to advancing semiconductor quantum technology.
Requirements
- You have a PhD degree in physics, applied physics, nanoelectronics, or comparable discipline at the time of starting the position.
- Prior experience in solid state quantum computing such as work with spin qubits, superconducting qubits, or related platforms is appreciated but not required.
- Strong English communication skills are essential to ensure effective collaboration within the group, participation in scientific discussions, and the ability to write high quality research articles.
