Your responsibilities
- Mechanical design and drafting for electronics products, including sheet metal, machined parts, and 3D printed components.
- Create and maintain technical and assembly drawings for internal and external manufacturing.
- Develop and maintain standard parts libraries and mechanical master data.
- Work in close collaboration with electrical engineers to master thermal challenges, ensuring the mechanical design seamlessly integrates with all system components.
- Responsible for sustaining engineering of the existing product portfolio, managing mechanical design updates and lifecycle changes.
- Support prototype assembly and testing.
- Manage external suppliers for mechanical parts and ensure timely delivery.
Your profile
- Mechanical Engineer (BSc) or Mechanical Design Technician (HF / vocational)
- At least 3 years of practical experience in mechanical design for electronic devices.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD SolidWorks. Experience in PDM and ERP integration. (CSWP+SM certification is a plus)
- Understanding of manufacturing processes (sheet metal bending, CNC machining, powder coating, etc.).
- Ability to produce clear, manufacturable drawings and assembly instructions.
- Handling initial handover to external manufacturers.
- Familiarity with thermal management solutions and RF shielding is a plus.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Professional fluency in German is required to support business operations.
