Aqora is building the platform layer for quantum computing: a neutral community platform where developers, researchers, and quantum teams build, share, benchmark, and run solutions across hardware providers.
At the core is a Python notebook-based workspace, connected to a hub for algorithms, datasets, quantum backends, reference implementations, profiles, reputation, and a marketplace layer. Aqora has around 3,500 registered users, recently closed its seed round, and is scaling from a small founding team into a structured product, commercial, and community organisation.
We are hiring our first Senior Product Manager to own the product roadmap and define how product gets built at Aqora. The role sits at the interface between engineering, community, and platform strategy: turning user behaviour, technical constraints, and ecosystem feedback into a product system that can scale.
This is a foundational role. You will work directly with engineering, shape the product cadence for the next 18 months, and design the mechanics that make a technical community valuable: contribution loops, dataset discovery, algorithm publishing, reputation, execution workflows, and repeat usage.
What you will do
You will own the product roadmap and backlog, translating company strategy, user needs, engineering constraints, and community signals into clear shipping priorities.
You will write specs, user stories, and requirements that allow engineering to move quickly without ambiguity.
You will design product mechanics for community growth, including contributor incentives, content discovery, reputation systems, feedback loops, and repeat usage.
You will help establish product rituals such as sprint planning, reviews, roadmap discussions, and product metrics.
You will stay close to users through interviews, usage analysis, feedback collection, and direct community contact. You will help define how Aqora turns one-off participation into repeat platform usage across datasets, notebooks, benchmarks, and published solutions.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone with product management experience in developer tools, platform products, technical SaaS, or similar environments.
Experience building for a community, developer ecosystem, or open-source environment is especially important. You should understand that building for contributors is different from building only for enterprise buyers: trust, visibility, recognition, and low-friction contribution matter.
You should have a technical background: a computer science degree, prior engineering experience, or clear evidence that you can read code and discuss architecture with engineers.
You should be comfortable with agile product cadence, backlog management, technical prioritisation, and data-informed product decisions.
Excellent written communication in English is essential.
Working at Aqora
Aqora is Paris-first by default. Co-location is the norm, with flexibility for exceptional individuals. Relocation support and visa sponsorship may be considered case by case.
The team is senior, self-starting, and direct. There are no playbooks yet; there are problems, judgment, and ownership.
The company works cross-functionally: engineers understand the commercial picture, and commercial people understand the technology.
Aqora applies a no gender pay gap policy. We encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every requirement. Aqora is committed to building a diverse team.
