The department:You’ll be working at TNO Vector, the centre for social innovation and strategy, within the Economics & Innovation Policy department. With a team of 25 passionate researchers and consultants, we’re working on a future-proof innovation climate to make the Netherlands and Europe stronger. We combine technology, innovation, and policy insights to address challenges from different perspectives and provide practical solutions.Your work includes:Participating in national and European projects on topics such as:Current policies for technology, innovation, and industry.Innovation in ecosystems.Strategic autonomy.Innovation analysis and impact (e.g. on AI, quantum technology, cyber security, high-tech devices, satellite communications, etc.).Developing new methods and tools for the policy cycle (predict, design, analyse impact, implement, monitor, and evaluate).You’ll use the latest scientific insights and contribute to the ‘state-of-the-art’.Addressing socio-technical transformations, such as energy transition, industrial transitions, material use, and digitalisation.Performing data-driven analysis and foresight on R&D and innovation strategies of interest to the Netherlands and Europe.Sharing your insights, together with consultants or project managers, with policymakers, businesses, and society through reports, notes, and presentations.
