IT Systems & Endpoint Management Engineer T2
As an IT Systems & Endpoint Management Engineer T2, you will support the architectural integrity and operational continuity of Qblox’s internal IT environment.
Reporting directly to the IT Engineering Lead, this is a highly autonomous yet collaborative role where you will help mature enterprise endpoint security, implement Zero Trust principles, and execute strategic technical projects. Backed by our high-performing Business IT Servicedesk—who manage day-to-day requests—you will serve as the expert Tier 3 escalation point for critical challenges.
As Qblox scales, our IT Engineering Lead is spearheading our overarching ISO 27001 and NIS2 compliance initiatives - you will take ownership of driving and implementing the technical IT controls that underpin them. This position is essential to ensuring our international team operates efficiently, securely, and compliantly, directly enabling breakthroughs in quantum technology.
Core Responsibilities & Technical Ownership
Endpoint Engineering & Security Architecture
Support the engineering, deployment, and security hardening of multi-OS endpoints (macOS, Windows, and Linux) across the organization.
Establish policy standardization and automated provisioning utilizing JumpCloud (MDM).
Oversee automated patching and compliance enforcement using Automox to maintain a continuous, unified security posture.
Implement and mature Zero Trust principles alongside the Lead, enforcing a least-privilege access model to safeguard critical company data.
Infrastructure Operations & Tier 3 Reliability
Partner with the Business IT Servicedesk, acting as their definitive Tier 3 escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents, delivering root-cause analysis.
Execute the implementation, rigorous testing, and continuous management of data backup and Disaster Recovery (DR) procedures.
Collaborate closely with R&D and DevOps teams to bridge operational IT infrastructure needs with high-performance computing requirements.
Assist with the maintenance and configuration of critical network services, including LAN, WAN, firewalls, switches, and VPNs, together with our external networking party.
IT Governance, Compliance & Project Execution
Drive the technical IT controls and operational alignment for our upcoming ISO 27001 and NIS2 compliance initiatives, ensuring our infrastructure controls are robust, auditable, and fully documented.
Collaborate on high-impact infrastructure projects with the IT Engineering Lead, contributing to architectural planning and taking ownership of final deployment.
Help administer and govern robust Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems, specifically leveraging C1 (ConductorOne) for identity governance, access reviews, and compliance automation.

Must-Have Expertise
Experience Level: HBO-level education in Computer Science, Business IT, or equivalent. Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in Infrastructure Engineering, IT Systems Administration, or a Site Reliability role.
Automation, Scripting & API Integration: Strong practical experience in JavaScript and Python scripting alongside Low-Code/No-Code platforms (e.g., Zapier) to automate routine infrastructure tasks, connect platforms via APIs, and orchestrate workflows to eliminate manual IT operations.
Endpoint Mastery: Strong practical understanding of managing multi-OS environments (Mac, Windows, Linux) via MDM and deploying automated policy enforcement.
SaaS Ecosystems: Proven experience administering Google Workspace Enterprise Plus, 1Password, Slack and the Atlassian Suite (Jira/Confluence), with a strong grasp of enterprise SaaS integrations.
Core Competencies: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in English.
Differentiating Skills (Bonus)
AI Governance & Adoption: Awareness or understanding of enterprise AI governance across a broad ecosystem—including LLMs, Model Context Protocol (MCP) architectures, autonomous AI agents, and productivity tools (e.g., Gemini Enterprise, Cursor—with an eye toward preventing data leakage and ensuring privacy.
Advanced Linux Mastery: Advanced Linux system administration proficiency and experience with advanced management tools (e.g., Red Hat Satellite/Lightspeed).
Foundational expertise in advanced networking (firewalls, routing, managed switches).
Experience troubleshooting physical and virtual server infrastructure.
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tooling (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
Knowledge of IT Service Management practices (ITIL, Jira Service Management) and SIEM implementation.
Proficiency in the Dutch language.
