About the job
At Qblox, you’ll help shape the future of quantum computing while working with some of the most curious and sharp minds in the world.
You'll enjoy hybrid working, flexible hours, and 3 weeks working from abroad. Plus, 30 days holiday (and national holidays) and a modern office in the heart of the Delft tech ecosystem.
Because there is no blueprint for what we are building, we need someone to build the framework for how we capture and execute complex projects. As our first Requirements Manager, you’ll have a "blank canvas" to establish the processes, standards, and governance that ensure our engineering teams can focus on what they do best: solving the world’s most complex computing challenges.
What you’ll do
This is a unique "player-coach" role. You aren’t just a spectator; you will be the hands-on architect of our requirements documentation while simultaneously building the governance structure for our entire engineering lifecycle.
Reporting to the Head of Program Management, you will:
- Build the Foundation: Roll out and maintain our first standardized Requirements Management Plan (RMP). You’re not just following a plug-and-play manual; you’re creating it.
- Bridge the Gap: Translate vague, high-level visions from executive leadership and scientists into actionable, high-quality Business (BRD) and Product (PRD) specifications.
- Enforce Excellence: Uphold rigorous documentation standards across cross-functional teams. You’ll need to use expertise and diplomacy rather than "rank" to ensure quality and prevent "requirement creep."
- Own the Stack: Act as our Subject Matter Expert for Spira (Inflectra). You will configure the tool, manage workflows, and ensure everyone—from hardware to software—is utilizing the platform effectively.
- Ensure Traceability: Develop end-to-end matrices to ensure our project scope always aligns with business goals and final testing outcomes.
About the company
Qblox is a deep tech scale-up accelerating the race to build scalable quantum computers. Our quantum control stacks combine precision electronics, FPGA systems, and proprietary processors to control thousands of qubits with nanosecond accuracy. We are moving from R&D toward industrial-scale systems, and the Requirements function is central to that evolution.
A note from the hiring manager: "This isn't a typical Business Analyst role. We need someone who truly enjoys bringing structure to a fast-paced environment so our engineers can focus on functional challenges. If you like the idea of setting up a function yourself rather than walking into a pre-made process, this is for you."
Please click the ‘Apply’ button. Don’t worry if your CV isn’t up to date. Just send what you have and we’ll deal with that later.
Enough about us, what about you?
In order to really enjoy this role, we imagine you’ll have a background encompassing:
- Spira Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in SpiraPlan/SpiraTest is a non-negotiable. We need someone who can set up workflows and reporting from day one.
- Foundational Experience: You’ve been a "Team of One" before. You enjoy creating structures from scratch and seeing them adopted by an entire organization.
- Technical Writing Prowess: You have a mastery of writing clear, testable requirements (INCOSE, IEEE) and understand how data should be structured in a complex engineering environment.
- Soft Power: The ability to drive process adoption and compliance through influence and relationship-building, especially in environments where you don't have direct reports.
