About the Role:
We are looking for a Computational Physicist with a background in NV centers or quantum systems to lead our physical modeling, simulation, and spin dynamics efforts. You will model the quantum sensorâs behavior under various external stimuli (mechanical strain, magnetic fields, temperature) to guide hardware design and help decode complex physical data.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and run numerical simulations of NV center spin dynamics (Lindblad master equations, spin Hamiltonians, decoherence processes).
Model physical interactions between quantum sensors and their environments (electromagnetic, mechanical strain via FEM/COMSOL, and spin-coupling simulations).
Partner with AI and ML engineers to integrate physical priors (Physics-Informed models) into signal processing pipelines for NV and NMR devices.
Theoretically optimize pulse control sequences (dynamical decoupling) to maximize sensor sensitivity in real-world environments.
Requirements:
Masterâs or PhD in Computational Physics, Quantum Physics, Quantum Computing, or a related field.
Strong theoretical/computational background in NV center physics or solid-state spin systems (experimental experience is a strong plus).
High proficiency in Python (NumPy, SciPy, QuTiP, Qiskit/Cirq, or similar) and/or C/C++.
Experience with model development and numerical simulation techniques (Finite Element Method - FEM, quantum dynamics modeling).
Fluent in English (C1).
