Job Title: Senior AI Research Scientist â Quantum Sensing & Signal Processing (NV Centers + Hyperpolarized NMR)
About qubiz.team: At qubiz.team, we are redefining sensing and diagnostics at the intersection of quantum physics, biotechnology, and AI. We develop advanced solutions leveraging NV centers in diamond for biomedical and industrial applications, as well as disruptive, portable NMR systems combined with hyperpolarization for real-time detection of environmental pollutants like PFAS.
About the Role: We are looking for a Senior AI Research Scientist to lead the development of algorithmic models designed to decode complex, high-noise physical signals. Working closely with our team of physicists, chemists, biotechnologists, and engineers, you will transform spectroscopic and magnetic raw data into actionable insights for our quantum sensing devices and environmental monitoring platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and validate novel AI/ML architectures (Neural Networks, Physics-Informed Neural Networks - PINNs, Signal Processing models) tailored for data originating from NV center sensors and hyperpolarized NMR spectra.
Develop real-time noise reduction, signal extraction, and classification algorithms for portable PFAS detection and biomedical/industrial sensing.
Lead algorithmic research from mathematical formulation to proof-of-concept, contributing to patents and high-impact publications.
Partner with our multidisciplinary R&D team to embed physical priors into machine learning pipelines.
Requirements:
PhD or Masterâs degree in Computer Science, Computational Physics, AI, Signal Processing, or a related quantitative field.
5+ years of experience in applied AI/ML research, ideally working with physical sensor data, spectroscopy, or complex time-series signals.
Expert proficiency in Python and Deep Learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow).
Familiarity with or strong interest in sensor physics, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), or quantum metrology.
Fluent in English (C1).
What we offer:
Immediate onboarding into a pioneering scientific-technological environment with high social and environmental impact.
An interdisciplinary environment collaborating with researchers and engineers from diverse fields.
Workplace flexibility and opportunities for professional growth.
Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and responsibilities.
