About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Experimental Physicist with a strong passion for hands-on laboratory work and quantum instrumentation. You will be the technical lead for the physical characterization, optimization, and validation of our NV center sensing devices, bringing quantum physics out of the lab into real-world applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and optimize optical and microwave testbeds for NV center control and readout (confocal, ODMR, RF/MW pulse sequences).
Lead experimental characterization of diamond samples (defect spin properties, T1, T2, coherence times, magnetic/thermal sensitivity).
Develop and validate physical sensing protocols (strain sensing, magnetometry, thermometry) for biomedical and industrial scenarios.
Work closely with software engineers, AI scientists, and microfabrication partners to integrate quantum hardware into functional prototypes.
Requirements:
PhD in Physics, Physical Engineering, Optics, or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on experimental experience working with NV centers in diamond or similar solid-state quantum systems.
Expertise in ODMR setups, confocal optics, RF/microwave instrumentation, and pulse sequence design.
Proficiency with lab automation and control software (Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB).
Fluent in English (C1).
