This role exists within legal and corporate operations to ensure organizational compliance with international trade laws and sanctions. Positioned as an operational and regulatory safeguard between executive management, engineering teams, and government agencies, the function mitigates legal risks associated with technology transfer. By establishing internal compliance protocols, monitoring regulatory shifts, and securing necessary licenses, professionals in this position enable cross-border technology deployment, commercial expansion, and international research collaborations without violating national security mandates or trade restrictions.

- Deep knowledge of trade sanctions, regulatory monitoring, and international licensing procedures
- Proven public sector administrative background in regulatory enforcement or trade policy
- Experience evaluating complex technical hardware and software for proper trade classification
