We are looking for an International Tax Expert to support our ambitious growth plans and join us on our journey to expand the frontier of scientific and technological progress with quantum computers!
In this role, you will be part of our global Finance team and based in either Espoo, Finland or Munich, Germany. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the scaling of a cutting-edge deep-tech company and play a key role in shaping and developing our global tax function.
As our go-to expert for all tax-related matters across IQM’s global operations, you will help ensure compliance, navigate complexity, and support strategic initiatives in a dynamic international environment.
What will I be doing?
- Provide expertise on international corporate income tax matters, including transfer pricing, permanent establishment risks, and tax treaty applications
- Oversee and manage direct tax compliance obligations across jurisdictions
- Advise on and support VAT compliance and risk assessments in cross-border transactions
- Contribute to the design and implementation of tax-efficient international structures
- Coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities
- Support tax reporting under IFRS and local GAAP; assist in the annual audit process
- Support M&A, restructuring, and cross-border projects from a tax perspective
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and evaluate their impact on the business
What skills do I need?
- Qualification as a tax advisor in Finland (HT-tilintarkastaja or KHT-tilintarkastaja) or Germany (Steuerberater)
- Experience in an international setting, ideally from a global consulting firm or in-house role within a multinational corporation
- Broad-based tax knowledge with deep expertise in at least one of the mentioned areas
- Strong intercultural awareness and sensitivity
- Excellent communication skills in English; fluency in Finnish or German is required
