C12 develops reliable & application-specific quantum computers, to solve complex computing tasks, currently out of reach of even the most powerful supercomputers. Building a quantum computer still needs innovators who are ready to tackle exciting challenges. At C12, we are convinced that a new material for the qubit will bring a technological breakthrough. At C12, the fundamental building block of the quantum processor—a qubit—is constructed using ultra-pure carbon nanotubes suspended above a silicon chip with control electrodes and superconducting resonators. This high-purity material minimises errors, enhances performance, and reduces hardware overhead for fault-tolerant computing. Spin qubits coupled to a microwave resonator offer exciting possibilities for control, manipulation, and circuit architecture. The suspended isotopically pure 12C nanotube significantly improves stability by reducing sources of decoherence, such as charge noise, nuclear spin noise, and phonon relaxation. Leveraging well-established semiconductor techniques, carbon nanotubes hold great promise for scaling quantum computing, much like silicon in classical computing.
Founded in 2020, C12 is a fast-growing start-up, who recently raised EUR 18 million in 2024 to further its research in its own lab in the heart of Paris (Panthéon).

TECHNICAL & MARKET ANALYSIS | Appended by Quantum.Jobs
The expansion of the global quantum ecosystem has created a structural requirement for specialized enablement roles that bridge the gap between high-frontier physics and market-ready industrial applications. Marketing and communications functions within this sector serve as critical translation layers, converting complex milestones in qubit stability and hardware scaling into high-authority signals for investors, sovereign partners, and potential end-users. As the industry moves through varying Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs), the ability to synchronize technical progress with ecosystem visibility is essential for maintaining the momentum of capital inflow and collaborative research cycles. These roles are fundamental to mitigating the risks of information asymmetry in the deep-tech value chain, ensuring that breakthroughs in material science are accurately positioned within the broader competitive landscape.
Current industry focus lies on bridging classical and quantum capabilities at scale, a transition that requires a sophisticated management of the interface between scientific discovery and commercial strategy. Within the quantum value chain, the enablement layer is increasingly defined by its ability to navigate a fragmented vendor landscape and a highly specialized labor market. While hardware modalities such as carbon nanotube-based systems or neutral atoms advance toward error correction, the primary bottleneck for many organizations has shifted to the externalization of these technical gains. Effective communication strategies are now a prerequisite for securing the multi-stage funding and public-private partnerships necessary for long-term infrastructure development.
Macro-level constraints, including the global scarcity of specialized technical talent and the high capital intensity of laboratory-based research, place a premium on roles that can drive institutional trust and brand equity. The sector is currently characterized by a decisive shift from laboratory proof-of-concepts to the integration of quantum computational kernels within enterprise ecosystems. This shift necessitates a workforce capable of managing complex stakeholder dependencies across academia, government, and industry. Consequently, the stability of the quantum software and hardware value chains depends heavily on the consistent delivery of high-fidelity information to the broader tech ecosystem, reducing the friction of adoption for early-movers in high-performance computing.
The capability architecture for this role type centers on the synchronization of cross-functional domains, specifically coupling deep-tech research with digital orchestration and ecosystem networking. Mastery of multichannel engagement frameworks is essential for ensuring that technical milestones are translated into deterministic roadmaps that resonate with non-specialist decision-makers. This requires a nuanced understanding of the intersection between specialized design protocols—utilizing tools like Canva or Adobe—and the institutional requirements of SEO-optimized scientific content. Such capabilities are vital for enhancing the discoverability of emerging technologies in a market where information density often acts as a barrier to entry.
These structural levers are fundamental to the throughput of technology organizations like C12 Quantum Electronics, as they facilitate the parallelization of scientific reporting and market development. By establishing authoritative verification channels for product milestones and research updates, this function provides the leverage needed to assess the true business value of technical breakthroughs before full-scale commercialization. Furthermore, the ability to manage complex stakeholder landscapes ensures that the scientific outputs are reconciled with the practical constraints of global data sovereignty and regulatory compliance. This expertise reduces iteration friction in the external perception of technology readiness, which is critical for long-term interoperability within the emerging quantum-as-a-service market. - Accelerates the deterministic transition of material science breakthroughs into recognized industrial-grade technology signals
- Mitigates systemic communication risks by aligning research publication cycles with organizational technology roadmaps
- Facilitates the integration of technical milestones into standardized global venture and institutional investment frameworks
- Strengthens the reliability of sector-wide workforce strategies through the promotion of cross-functional technical cultures
- Reduces the iteration friction between fundamental hardware achievements and the cultivation of an early-adopter ecosystem
- Optimizes the allocation of specialized technical visibility across research, development, and strategic partner portfolios
- Enhances the stability of the deep-tech value chain by providing predictable information frameworks for external stakeholders
- Supports the scaling of organizational influence by managing the complex dependencies of international quantum events
- Improves the transparency of technology readiness level progression for global policy and sovereign investment sectors
- Enables the structural reproducibility of technical branding through the implementation of rigorous content protocols
- Protects high-capital research investments by ensuring alignment between scientific excellence and market positioning
- Orchestrates the convergence of academic research pathways with the practical demands of enterprise-ready communicationsIndustry Tags: Quantum Enablement, Deep Tech Marketing, Carbon Nanotube Technology, Technology Translation, Quantum Ecosystem Strategy, Scientific Communications, TRL Progression, Stakeholder Management, Venture Capital Signals
