Who we are
Founded in 2019 as a spin-off from Inria, CNRS and Sorbonne University, CryptoNext Security is a European pioneer in post-quantum cryptography and crypto-agility. As a software vendor, our mission is to help organisations migrate their IT systems and products toward quantum-safe, crypto-agile architectures.
Our platform supports the entire post-quantum transition, across three product lines: discovery of cryptographic assets to expose risks and blind spots; crypto-agility management to govern policies and steer the transition of business applications; and remediation toward quantum-safe solutions for a smooth, controlled migration.
We serve major enterprises, public institutions and system integrators across financial services, defence, industry and the public sector.
This is no longer a speculative market. National security agencies have published their migration timelines, the standards are settled, and organisations are moving into implementation. Demand runs on a regulatory clock, not a discretionary budget cycle.
The role
You own our direct revenue: defining the commercial strategy for enterprise, government and OEM accounts, and executing it end to end — from first outreach to signed purchase order.
Direct sales are our immediate source of revenue, and the RFPs on our desk are substantial and well structured. This role exists to win them, and to build the account strategy that turns individual deals into a repeatable enterprise motion.
You report to the CEO and work closely with Channel Sales, Marketing and Product. As the direct business matures, this role has a natural path toward broader commercial responsibility across both direct and indirect channels.
What you will own
• Commercial strategy for direct accounts — large enterprise, government — and for OEM customers
• Prospecting and lead generation on target accounts
• Discovery and qualification of opportunities
• Proposal construction and RFI / RFP responses
• Industry events and conferences
• Forecasting and reporting, and disciplined use of the CRM and sales stack
What we are looking for
• 5+ years in B2B technology sales, including experience building relationships with global enterprise accounts
• A track record in complex, long-cycle sales within cybersecurity, infrastructure or infrastructure software
• Comfort in an environment where the processes do not exist yet, and the credibility to hold a technical conversation with demanding buyers
• Fluency with modern tools to accelerate lead generation, presentations and complex RFP responses
• Fluent French and English
Familiarity with cybersecurity, cryptography or PKI is a real advantage, but not a requirement — we will bring you up to speed on the technology.
What we offer
• Full ownership of the direct business, reporting to the CEO
• An international territory and a path toward broader commercial responsibility
• A market driven by regulatory deadlines rather than economic conditions
• Deep scientific foundations, led by recognised experts in the field
• Hybrid model, 3 days a week onsite
Hiring process
• Introductory call
• Interview with the CEO
• Working session: a deep dive into what you have built, and where we go from here
• Conversation with Product, and with our Founder & CTO
TECHNICAL & MARKET ANALYSIS | Appended by Quantum.Jobs
The transition of critical digital infrastructure toward quantum-safe cryptography represents a structural shift in global cybersecurity architecture. Within the commercial enablement layer of the post-quantum cybersecurity ecosystem, the Key Account Manager function acts as an essential catalyst for enterprise adoption, bridging complex algorithmic standards with corporate risk governance. As regulatory mandates from international standards bodies enforce strict compliance timelines, commercial orchestration becomes vital for translating theoretical vulnerabilities into capital allocation decisions across regulated sectors. Key Account Managers in deep-tech vendors like Cryptonext Security secure the primary commercial vectors through which post-quantum cryptography (PQC) solutions and crypto-agility frameworks are deployed into mission-critical environments. Consequently, this role type drives the real-world execution of global cryptographic modernization, ensuring that systemic risk mitigation aligns with institutional procurement cycles.
The commercialization of post-quantum cryptography operates within a rapidly evolving macroeconomic and regulatory landscape. Unlike traditional software sectors driven by discretionary IT spending, post-quantum readiness is enforced by government mandates, national security directives, and industry-specific compliance timelines. Enterprise organizations across financial services, defense, telecommunications, and public infrastructure face systemic exposure to harvest-now-decrypt-later vectors, necessitating multi-year migration roadmaps. Within this ecosystem, commercial strategy functions as a critical bridge over the gap between regulatory policy and operational deployment.
Macro constraints in this domain center on complex sales cycles, vendor fragmentation, and the technical debt inherent in legacy public key infrastructure (PKI). Organizations often struggle to map cryptographic assets across distributed cloud and on-premises environments, creating adoption bottlenecks. Furthermore, decision-making is distributed across chief information security officers, legal teams, and risk committees, requiring commercial leaders to articulate value propositions across diverse internal stakeholders. Current industry focus lies on bridging classical and quantum capabilities at scale while establishing sustainable go-to-market channels.
Commercial enablement roles catalyze market maturation by standardizing engagement frameworks for complex procurement motions. As public-private partnerships and national quantum initiatives mature, commercial leaders facilitate structured technology integration, ensuring that enterprise clients transition smoothly from risk discovery to active remediation.
The capability architecture for commercial key account leadership in post-quantum cybersecurity relies on the intersection of strategic account management, regulatory intelligence, and high-level cryptographic literacy. Operating effectively at the commercial enablement interface requires a deep comprehension of crypto-agility management, post-quantum algorithm standards, and enterprise risk management protocols. These capabilities allow leaders to navigate complex request for proposal (RFP) processes and construct tailored commercial frameworks for multi-national accounts.
Cross-functional alignment is critical for market success. Key account managers act as the primary feedback loop between enterprise buyers and internal product engineering, channel sales, and executive leadership teams. Understanding the mechanics of public key infrastructure, hardware security modules (HSMs), and software integration layers enables commercial leaders to position software platforms effectively without oversimplifying the underlying engineering constraints. This structured approach accelerates discovery phases, improves opportunity qualification, and ensures that deployment models match client infrastructure capabilities, thereby driving long-term retention and account expansion in high-barrier deep-tech markets. - Accelerates the enterprise-wide transition from legacy encryption protocols to post-quantum cryptographic standards
